The Morning After...

In this chapter I didn't feel like writing out the Barbs twitter names but i'll put them here for reference:

“She’s not good for you Safaree!” Nicki said stepping closer to Safaree. She couldn’t help what she was feeling. It made her so mad when she saw him walk in party with Shante tonight. Nicki told Safaree she just wanted to be friends after the night they almost got down in the hotel. But did she really? SB gave her body a once over. She looks good in this dress he thought. Nicki was wearing a Black dress with a split that stopped right at the top of her thigh with some silver heels on. Safaree looked up at her.

“Then who is?” He asked.

One Month Earlier

Safaree awakened to people laughing. He looked over to where Nicki was sleeping to see that she was no longer there. She never got up before he did. “Damn.” He thought to his self. Now he knew she was going to be all stand offish and what not from now on. “I shouldn’t have tried to go there with her last night.” He thought. “I should have just waited like I said I was going to do and told her my feeling tonight. But when she kissed me my emotions took over and I lost all control.” He heard a knock on the door, then it opened, it was Martin.

“Get up coon. All the Barbs are asking for you. Everyone is outside swimming. They are teaching Nicki how and it’s the funniest thing.” Martin stated.

“All right let me get myself together and I’ll be out there.” SB said. Martin closed the door. Safaree forgot that Nicki was going to spend the morning and afternoon with the barbs as well. She loved and adored her fans. Safaree got up and went to the bathroom and did his morning routine. He put on his trunks and went outside to the pool. They had a private pool so they weren’t disturbed,

“SAFAREE!” He heard all they Barbs say together.

“Hey yall.” He replied back smiling.

“Get in with us SB. And help us teach Nicki how to swim.” @TB said. SB hadn’t noticed Nicki sitting in a corner with @IMB staring at him.

“I have been trying to teach her for years. Some people just aren’t made for swimming.” SB said Jumping into the pool. Nicki continued to look at him interact with the Barbs. She didn’t know how he could be so collected after last night. She had so many thoughts going through her head. She was trying her best to keep face for her Barbs but they knew when something was wrong with her.

“Nicki what’s the matter? You have been silent ever since SB got out here. And you just keep staring at him.” @IMB asked. Nicki snapped out of her trance.

“What? No I haven’t Barb.” Nicki said playfully splashing water on her. Trying to change the subject.

“Yes you have. But even before he came out when he said his name you would stare off for a minute.” @IMB said as a matter of factly. Nicki just stared at her. “Damn she noticed everything” Nicki thought.

“What are you in school for again?’ Nicki asked trying to change the subject yet again. @IMB rolled her eyes.

“Psychology, Onika. And I can see you are not going to tell me what’s wrong, but whatever it is, seems to be bothering you a lot. You need to talk to someone about it. It’s not good to keep things inside.” @IMB hugged her and swam off to play in the water with everybody else, leaving Nicki with her thoughts. “That girl is very in tune for her age.” Nicki thought.  She watched as Safaree and @_TB dunked all the girls under the water. @TMC was pissed because they messed up her weave and she had just gotten it done. Nicki laughed at her trying to beat @_TB, but he just kept grabbing and dunking her again. Then Nicki noticed she was by herself on the shallow end and she wanted to be in the fun.

“Hey someone come get me.” Nicki yelled.

“Why? When you get over here you can’t do nothing but hold on to someone and choke them to death.” @BB said making everyone laugh. Nicki glared at her.

“Barb don’t be mean to me.” Nicki said playfully pouting. “So who’s coming to get me?” Nicki asked putting her hands on her hips and being dramatic.

“Go get her Safaree.” @IMB & @POM said in unison, and giggled. The girls knew something the others didn’t. When Safaree and Nicki went off to bed, 30 minutes later both girls woke up and began talking. They got bored and wanted to see if Nic and SB had gone to sleep. So they ventured down the hall way and were about to knock on the door when they began to hear moans. Both girls looked at each other and smiled. @IMB cracked the door a little and pepped her head through to see what was going on. Her eyes grew big at what was before her. Was that her fav kissing SB as if the world would end if she pulled away? It was her. @POM poked her and told her to move so she could see.  They both watched unable to move from shock. “I knew they liked each other!” @IMB thought. Then they heard movement coming from the opposite hallway. @POM took off leaving @IMB. “BITCH.” @IMB thought. @IMB closed the door as quietly as she could then took off down the hallway undetected. And got under her covers and pretended to be sleep.

Safaree looked at the girls. “Yo, yall two are crazy.” He said. Then he looked back at Nicki. He licked his lips. Nicki looked great in her bikini and her natural hair out he thought. Nicki stared at him thinking about how his lips were pressed to hers hours before. SB swam to get her. He picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his back.

“Wait SB let me get on your back.” She said trying to get down, SB wouldn’t let her.

“No. You’re not about to choke me. You will be just fine like this.” He said walking back to the deep end.

She whispered, “I can’t stay like this the whole time Safaree.” Nicki stated.

Safaree looked at her in her eyes, “Why not?” he said with a smirk that showed his pearly whites. Everyone else had gone back to mingling and goofing off. Nicki said nothing. They played a game of Marco Polo. But SB kept being found because he had extra cargo. 

“Yo, SB you suck at this game.” Nicki told him. Safaree looked at her like she was crazy.

“If I didn’t have to hold your dwarf ass I would never get found.” SB snapped back.

“Well fine then put me down.” Nicki said forgetting they were on the deep side. But before she could change her statement Safaree smiled and through her away from him into the pool. Nicki screamed and began fighting the water. Everyone laughed as Safaree had to endure a beating as he saved her from her self and took her back to the shallow side. “You freaking Jerk.” Nicki said repeatedly hitting him as she caught her breath. “I’m going to get dressed; I’ve had enough of swimming for the month.” She giggled and got her towel and went inside. Everyone followed suit and did the same. The barbs took over Martins room and showered and got dressed in there.

Nicki entered the bedroom in just her towel not knowing Safaree had came in. She was in the shower for the longest just thinking. “Oh I didn’t know you were in here.” She said getting ready to go back in the bathroom to get ready.

“Nicki I gotta shower too so you can get dressed out here.” Safaree said walking towards the bathroom.  When he got out of the shower he put his towel around his waist and walked into the bed room. Nicki was just putting the final touches on her makeup.

“Are we gonna talk about last night or pretend it didn’t happen?” SB asked with a serious face. Nickis back was to him.

“Safaree please not now. I don’t know what to say about it.” Nicki turned around and pleaded. SB walked up to her.

“Just say how you feel.”  He said placing his hand on the back of her neck and pulling her close. Nicki inhaled his sent. “God he smells so good.” She thought.

“Safaree you’re my best friend. I’ve never looked at you any other way.” She said.

“Then why did you kiss me last night?” Safaree asked, getting closer to her face. He kissed her. She kissed him back.

“No, SB stop.” Nicki said pushing him away. “We can’t do this. We are friends and that’s all we could ever be.” She said.

“Why Nicki?” SB asked.

“You have been the only consistent man in my life beside my brothers that I can trust and if that were to ever get messed up I don’t know what I would do.” Nicki said teary eyed. “So we will just forget this and last night ever happened.” She stated wiping her tears away. She turned and walked out. Safaree was crushed.
